OUR RECOMMENDATION

These are the main ways to get Toledo from Madrid. The fastest and most comfortable way, as it can be supposed, it is by car, but not everybody has this possibility so if we should choose between train or bus, we would recommend you the bus, since you would have more possibilities of timetable and the price is lower, although it takes more time to arrive there, the bus has an advantage that we really appreciate and it is the way from the Bus Station to the historical city centre. This way is not only more comfortable and shorter but also you can go on foot, that means that the time saved going by train then it will be spent going up on foot to the city centre, if you decide to go on foot. If you go by train, you can also decide to take the city bus to get the city centre (Bus lines 5, 5D, 6, 22, 61, 62 and 94 will leave you in the main square, Zocodover) and you should add 1,40 € per person to your budget.

If you want to know how to get the historical city centre from different places of arrival, you could check it in this post.

It does not matter the option you choose, the only thing we can say to you it is that Toledo is a jewel that you must not miss.
