Spain don’t stand out only for its culture, its history, its beautiful monuments, its beaches or for the good weather, but also for its gastronomy since it is one of the best ones in world thanks to its variety and its quality. Each of its 17 regions and its 2 autonomous cities have their own typical dishes differing from the rest. In this post, we will focus on Madrid, the Spanish capital. It became ingrained in Spain the culture of the tapa and it is because Spanish people love having lunch in tapas bars. For this reason, we invite you to taste the delicacy of Madrid by doing a tapas tasting in which you could eat traditional tapas in the most special bars of the city since some of them are started to work in the trade more than 100 years ago. 3.Oreja a la plancha (Grilled pig’s ear)

The most typical dish of offal store to eat as tapa in bars of Madrid. “Casa Toni”  is one of the most traditional of the capital, its natural and crispy pig’s ear is what defines this bar. 6.Huevos estrellados (Scrambled eggs)

7.Croquetas (Croquettes)

The croquettes are another world, there are a lot of types and of every flavours but without doubt, Spain was its forefather and Madrid as Spanish capital is a good place to taste them. We recommend you three different bars which will surprise you. “Santerra” received las year the price of « the best croquette in 2018 »by the Gastronomic Congress of Madrid Fusion and its croquettes are a real exquisite. 8.Gambas al ajillo (Garlic prawn)

“La casa del abuelo” is the best place to taste the best garlic prawn. We do not know which is the secret but they are really unique. This temple of prawn has some bars around Madrid, the main one is located inCalle de La Victoria, 12, but you could also find it onCalle de Goya, 57 and Calle de Toledo, 11.  

9.Ensaladilla (Russian salad)

It is a simple recipe but in which the tricks are essential and can turn it into the best ensaladilla, it’s what happened in “Restaurante Casa Rafa”. This restaurant is a shellfish bar and one of the best ones but the success of its ensaladilla goes before because its ensaladilla has the perfect savour. It is located in Calle de Narváez, 68.

10.Tortilla de patatas (Spanish omelette)

Finally, the star dish of all regions in Spain, each region has its trick and this one could not miss in the gastronomy of Madrid. You could like it more or less cooked but everybody who leaves the bar “La Ardosa” do not care about it because its tortilla is amazing. It is located in Calle de Colón, 13.

The gastronomy is one of the pleasures more practised and it is why more and more we like to know this culture in each place we travel to.
